Perro de Agua Español :: Elíndalo :: Spanish Water Dog

Ana and Juan, a wonderful couple who live in Naquera (Valencia) have sent us this picture of their holidays in the Pyrenees with the majestic Elo de Elindalo, the one they name Broma (we love the name). This two colored female is daughter of Turka and Lupo and she's now like 16 months old. We're very proud of her onwers, we're so lucky becasue almost everytime we find out good people.

Hondonero de Elindalo, two colored unit is now with our good friends Iara and Javi. Because he's a strength and corpulent dog, his new name is Bull. This kind couple had already had a dog from here (Beatle de Elindalo, aka Turco) when we were living in Madrid, and of course Bull also enjoy those walks that as we see in the picture invites to silence and contemplation, without forgetting sport. Everything lives on your heart, enjoy.

Yesterday (Sunday 30th August 2009) we had a very busy day, but expected and desired in home. Runa, she broke waters around 8.30 am and we were following her and her puppiles closely until almost 7 pm when the dogbirth finished. The I Litter of Spanish Water Dogs from Elindalo is already here, safe and sound. 10 puppies that were born since 10.32 am, with Itoiz's appearance, a precious black female. Almost together (11.07 and 11.10 am), Imaiden and Iggypop were born. A stop of an hour and a half and Iandury was born, an impressive black male with a white spot on his chest. Six minutes later Runa gives birth to Isla, a pretty brown female. At 1.35 pm knocks the door a black and withe unit, we named her Ibutterfly. 2.10 pm, the powerful Imperio de Elindalo thinks that's time to come, she's black and powerful. Infante, brown male, with a thin vertical white line on his chest, arrived almost at lunch time: 2.49 pm, but today is not a lunch day, is a day to take care of Runa. 3.14 pm and Iman, another black male with a white spot on his chest, shines radiant. No doubt, Lupo has left his mark in this litter. 9 pups and we don't know if there's one more left... 3.52 pm, Iguana says that she's the last one to close this first chapter of their lives. She's a black female with white chest and belly. We touched Runa's womb and we thought it was the end, however, as always we stood guard about 3 hours for our and her tranquility. Today has been a great day for our family and another night without sleeping. The picture is when she had given birth to three pups. Soon, more information in LITTER/PUPPIES section. Runa's about to be a mom, the countdown has begun and if all is okay, she will give birth at the end of August (or at most, September begins). Down you can see a picture of Fergie (she's from a similar litter). Daddy Lupo, is almost perfect as a stud, he's fitter now than ever (you can see it in the picture) and he's a wonderful 5 year old dog. Now he has short coat (summer things) and you can watch on this video how he takes care about himself. This will be our I Litter (we're making the names list... We have decided bring a new male to our family, our dear Jose Luis del Bolanio has chosen a very good unit for us. The "boy" is brown, he's two months old and he's the most cheeky dog ever! We're very happy with Mr. Bernal, we think that Che del Bolanio (we call him Dandy, because of his charm and haughtiness) will be a good complement for Lupo in our diary work promoting this breed (Spanish Water Dog, of course!!!). Vicente Ferrer was born the 9th April 1920. During his youth he joined the Society of Jesus with hope to make his dream and vocation: help to the people. From that moment, he devoted his whole life to work to eradicate the suffering of the poorest people in this country. In 1969 he returned to the India and lived in Anantapur (Andhra Pradesh), one of the poorest districts of the country. The same year, he left the Society of Jesus  and found with the person who was going to be his wife -Anne Perry- the Vicente Ferrer Foundation in Anantapur for assure the economic continuity of the projects in India. From that moment until his death (19 Juny 2009), he lead a project that will carry on thanks to a team of 1.900 people and the support of more than 139.000 collaborators.
