Kiss and Dandy apt for breeding
Saturday, 08 January 2011

spanish water dog aptLast 18th December 2010 we went to the 59th National Can Expo (CACIB) that took place in one of the stands of Valencia Trade Fair. The environment was very relaxed and merry. We went with our units Kiss de Elindalo and Dandy (Che del Bolanio) for their confirmation. There, the international judge Adrián Argente del Castillo examined our pets and okay them, declaring both APT for breeding as pureblood Spanish Water Dogs, like their pedigree certify.

Kiss and Dandy had an excellent behaviour and they made us feel very proud about them. Adrián Argente is member of the Royal Canine Society of Spain as an international All Rounder and Best in Show judge, detail that please us enormously and give us satisfaction. Finally, greet and thank to the Canine Society of Valencia, the event's organizer, because of their effort to make everything as best as possible, we know that everything isn't as simple as it seems.

In the left pictures you can see when we were on the ring. Up, Teyma with Kiss and the judge signing the Apt form, in the middle, I'm with Dandy and down, my daughter Angel B. photographed when we were entering the fairground.

Hours later, I was in the ICU in Arnau de Vilanova Hospital. My second heart attack knocked the door and I want to apologize because of all those emails that are waiting for a reply, just when I finish with my medical checks we'll attend you with pleasure. I hope that from 20th January I'll be operative, meanwhile, thanks for writing us and for your patience. Elindalo, somewhere over the rainbow.

Spanish Water DogFergie de Elíndalo on behalf of our family, wears her Santa's hat to wish you a New Year full of happiness and say farewell to this year. Thanks to everyone who have remembered us, to everyone who have sent us Christmas cards or pictures of the doggies that have filled us with joy. Also greetings to all the people who visit our web from time to time.

If everything goes right, after a calm year without many puppies, we're waiting for new litters for the second fortnight in January. We'll inform you in detail.

What I said, we wish you the best for New Year and that everyday would be a great day.

Fried red tomatoes...
Wednesday, 04 August 2010

Mundo vegetal...no, 91's film was Fried Green Tomatoes. Today we're not talking about Spanish Water Dog. Let's get to the point, remember that a few months ago we uploaded a photo similar to the left one here (you can see it in the Blog)... canes, wire, little springs, wild and hope. We were getting ready to plant our tomatoes, peppers and eggplants in a unheard experience of our lives. We can assure you that we never expected receiving so much sensations of the vegetable world, apparently inert and dull. A particular world that you've to relish little by little, where you've to stop the time or live it slow mo to be able to understand it. Turn into nature to feel the generosity of everything life's simplicity give us. And because promises are meant to be kept, you can see in the pictures that with care and love, everything flows to the infinite beauty. You can appreciate in picture 3 how in two months, from nowhere, plants have grown in an expectacular way... but, what about picture two? for us it has been like touching the sun or seeing the dark side of the moon. Tomatoes, peppers and eggplants in all of its splendour. I must tell you that I doubt I was gonna get it, they have resisted some hailstorms and the birds' visit, they haven't been protected with chemicals (not for any principle reason) and now we can tell you that it's been worth. It was not a Spanish Water Dog birth, but just about. To round off, because music is our motor, Loquillo (a Spanish songwriter) could have played the soundtrack with this verse... in the roar of the battle, in the harshest cold winter, I'll be your blood brother... our reign is not from this world, I give my word of honor. To truth seeking we hocked our dreams.

We wish you a great summer and apologize with all these people who asked for information about our SWD litters and we haven't answered via email, I take this lines to tell you that we won't have puppies til December or January and always, we'll give priority to the families in our Waiting List (if you want, you can take part and we will inform you in timely fashion). Thanks for your patience and complicity. We remind you thatin our Blog section are all the news that have been published, it's our particular archive. Kisses from Elindalo and we'll soon upload pictures of our vegetable garden to the Album.

Summertime
Tuesday, 03 August 2010

ImperioAna and family, from Pamplona, are in some beach with majestic Imperio de Elindalo (aka Ada) and as we can see she's having a blast with her owners. Beach, sun, ball and fresh dips, basic ingredients for a typical summer. Ada is a black female of perfect morfology and she represents very good the Spanish Water Dog standard. She's eleven month old and at the end of august she'll be one.  The other pictures will be in the Gallery. Thank you for remember us and share her growing with us. Hemingway and San Fermin up!

A bit of cool air
Tuesday, 03 August 2010

CamboriaOur friends Iratxe and Daniel got us used to send us, now and then, pictures of matchless Rita (Camboria de Elindalo). This one is of last winter, but it's refreshing upload it in August (we always go against the tide). There she is around lots of snow in Huarte, that for sure is how many people would like to be now. We also have some pictures in the Gallery, with her hair cut in 2010 summer. This water dog is a brown and white female. Really gorgeous and in the best hands. Kisses for Navarra.

Kira in Almeria
Tuesday, 03 August 2010

KiraItoiz de Elíndalo (aka Kira) pose with her young owner, Andrea's daughter. Hanby family are English and lives in Almeria, cradle of indalo, that sparks off, with a pun, the name of our kennel Elindalo. This pictures is at first of 2010 when Kira was 5 months old. We gotta tell that there's lots (and good) English fans of our native breed, living in Spain. We send them a very special greeting. Thanks for help us promoting Spanish Water Dog.

The world is wonderful
Tuesday, 03 August 2010

BunburyVictoria from Huelva, thank you very much, send us pictures of the incredible Bunbury de Elindalo, a beautiful Spanish Water Dog who find the happiness with this family. Their mails are always full of joy and positivism. We can boast of the great people we have met thank to our doggies. In this picture he remind us to his sire Lupo but brown... however in the others, without hair is like his dam Candela. You can see the potential of this unit in our Gallery. The world is wonderful, Louis Amstrong sang.

Tuesday, 03 August 2010

CoffeHere we have, thanks to his owner, Coffee (Keithmoon de Elindalo) with 7 months old swiming in this special and artificial river, but like good old Angel says, it's a river after all, and it's in the park where they usually go to play and walk. A beautiful brown male of SWD who live in Madrid, between Pinto and Valdemoro (in Pinto. I know that's a shabby proverb). Greetings to the family and friends. More pics in the Gallery.
